Celebrating Our Own! features the winners of the NSA Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition. Soloists will perform with the NSA Chamber Orchestra and members of the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Chaconne - Vitali Grace Wride, violin Concerto for Violin and Viola - Bruch Alyssa and Tristin Saito Viola Concerto - Stamitz Lola Pinney, viola Las Vegas Philharmonic and Nevada School of the Arts' exciting new collaboration provides NSA Chamber Orchestra students with intensive mentoring from LVP musicians in conjunction with NSA educators through a series of professional coaching and side-by-side performances. The initiative is the first program to debut under the Philharmonics newly created Music SPARK program: Supporting Young Musicians, Providing Access & Resources, Kindling Passion. The first performance will showcase students and LVP musicians playing side by side in a robust program featuring first movements of popular works by Bach, Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, titled Symphonic Developments. Admission is FREE Next Performance Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Nevada School of the Arts, Historic Fifth Street School Auditorium at 3:00 p.m.
