What's your favorite activity off the strip?
Hiking in Red Rock Canyon. I didn't do it enough, I wish I did it more, but I did it a lot and it was one of my favorite things to do. It's so beautiful up there. You get away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip, Las Vegas, drive out there. It's only like 20 minutes, if I remember correctly, and get away from everything, the sights, the sounds. It was one of my favorite things to do, it was a nice respite from, like I said, the craziness of the Strip.
What's your favorite activity on the strip?
I would have to say, seeing the shows. The cast of Rock of Ages actually had a great opportunity that we were able to see almost every single show that was on the Strip because we were in one and there was a big camaraderie there, which I loved and miss. Seeing the show, they have the most incredible shows in Las Vegas and it was one of my favorite things to do. See my friends and colleagues, and even people I didn't know do incredible things in these incredible shows. Yes, favorite thing to do on the Strip, the shows.
What's your favorite Vegas restaurant?
Hard because the restaurants seen in Las Vegas is pretty damn incredible, but Cut, Wolfgang Puck's Cut steakhouse in the Palazzo. That place-- I'm stuttering because I really can't say enough about that restaurant. I'm a steak guy, I'm a steakhouse guy, I'm a wine guy, cocktail guy, Cut offers the topnotch in every category. Checks every single box for me. Yes, Cut in the Palazzo.
What's your favorite Vegas business?
It's going to sound like a shameless plug, but I got to give it to my buddy Mark Shunock, running The Space LV. I would not do a good job right now of explaining everything The Space does and Mark Shunock does at The Space, but that is a business that has really changed a lot of things in the entertainment industry in Las Vegas. Shout out to The Space LV and Mark Shunock. Doing incredible things with that business, man. Love you, miss you.
Do you have a funny Vegas story you can share?
There are so many, and a lot that I probably can't talk about on this medium right now. I will say, one of the funny things that comes to mind is the character I played in Rock of Ages, wore black nail polish, I was an 80s rock star. I tried to put it on and take it off after every single show but, eventually, I was like, forget it, I'm just going to wear it all the time and I'm not exactly somebody that can pull off black nail polish. Needless to say, I think, in Las Vegas, I got away with it for most of the time, but the looks that I got from a lot of people were interesting. There are certain people that can wear black nail polish, guys, I mean, and it looks good on them, didn't really work so well for me. Yes, black nail polish 24/7 was pretty freaking funny.
