Patrick Kun - Magician / Local

Patrick Kun is a magician based in Las Vegas, and also happens to be a local. Patrick Kun is very well known for his large YouTube following in which he has tutorial videos on some of his magic tricks. 

 

What's your favorite activity off the strip?

Definitely check out Red Rock Canyon. It's really close to my house. Once in a while, I go out with family, we go hiking, take some good photos there. It's super nice and you can actually see the Strip from the mountain and you get a really nice view there. Really romantic as well if you want to bring your date.

 

What's your favorite activity on the strip?

One of my favorite bars is The Chandelier Bar on the 1.5 floor at The Cosmopolitan. They make one of the most unique drinks there and they are definitely one of the best, so definitely, highly recommended, just go there. It's a nice atmosphere, you can chit-chat with your friends and have a really nice cocktail. Check it out, Chandelier Bar at The Cosmopolitan.

 

What's your favorite Vegas restaurant?

Raku, it's a Japanese type style restaurant so you can go there with your friends. It's really nice and has a really nice atmosphere. It's a little bit pricey, but their food there is amazing and they also have another restaurant nearby called Raku as well, Raku Dessert. They make really, really fancy dessert that you can drink with champagne and wine. Definitely, a great place to go on a date so you can go to the restaurant and then go straight to the sweets place to have some nice dessert and champagne. 

 

What's your favorite Vegas business?

There are actually many activities that you can do here in Las Vegas, such as shooting guns, you can go out to nightclub, definitely party. You can go out to some fancy restaurants and see shows, but one of my favorite activities is actually ziplining. Now, Vegas is in the desert so there's many really close nature parks. There's a place that actually has a zipline that you can zip on through the city and see a really nice view. Also, skydiving is really, really fun here. You can come down, see the desert, see all the desert from the top of you. Also, one more thing that you can do is definitely check out the observation wheel at The LINQ. They have the High Roller, so you can actually go up there, see a nice sunset with your date or whatever, a really nice one.

 

Do you have a funny Vegas story you can share?

For me, as a magician, I tend to carry a deck of cards in my hand and obviously, a lot of people always say a magician can cheat in card games in the casino. Once in a while, I'll actually get called out by security and almost kicked out because I have a deck of cards in my hand. They think that I'm going to somehow cheat or switch cards in there.
